DVF::Divine Colorblock Intervention

Wowza. It’s been almost two months since my last outfit post. My primary photographer, the lovely and patient Mr. B, was in India for five weeks for work (I’m SO glad he’s back!) so actual outfit posts kind of fell off my radar. But we’re back!

I found myself utterly obsessed with this DVF colorblocked dress after I saw it on posted on a blog. Unfortunately, the dress was from the past season and was sold out online, but even countless eBay searches turned fruitless. I didn’t think much more and on a whim, stopped at Opitz, a designer fashion outlet located in Minneapolis, and lo and behold, the dress was staring right back at me. In my size. That’s what I consider a divine fashion intervention. And the best part? It was a fifth of the original price. I couldn’t have been happier – I love when things work out! I’ve worn this dress so many times – it’s beyond comfortable – now I’m just trying to figure out the best way to transition it into fall. Tights? Let me know if you have any ideas.

The details: DVF dress, Toms shoes (see my post about them here – I love them!), Proenza Schouler PS1 handbag, Michele watch. Bracelets: Gucci link, David Yurman and Ippolita bangles, Cartier Love, emerald bracelet (a gift from Mr. B from his trip to India), rubber friendship bracelet ($1 at the Walker Art Museum, which is where these photos were taken).

Confetti in her hair made me smile because it brought to mind a person who lives for the moment. And of course, probably accessorized with something sparkly.
