I heart shoes.
Until my foot surgery a couple of years ago, I had a blatant disregard for comfortable footwear. And as much as I still love high heels, they’re just not practical for me to wear anymore on a daily basis. I first saw these Toms wedges on my friend Katie’s blog (check out her blog here) and instantly fell in love. The color, the suede, the style – it all came together seamlessly in these benevolent wedges. I’ve had these wedges for about two weeks and they’ve since become my go-to shoe. From dresses to jeans, they’re not only versatile with a variety of outfits, but are also extremely comfortable. And I’m not kidding on the latter – I wore them through some intense travel this past week and my feet were completely comfortable the entire time.
The Desert Wedges come in taupe, black and chestnut and retail for $89. You can purchase them here on the Toms’ website. And if you’re not familiar with Toms’ One-for-One charitable philosophy, here it is in a nutshell – for every pair of shoes sold, another pair is donated to a child in need. Since the company’s inception in 2006, more than one million pairs have been given out worldwide. Stylish and charitable? A definite win-win in my book.
