Confetti List::SodaStream

There was a steady period in my life where I would reach for a Diet Coke on a very regular basis and it was pretty easy for me to blow through a couple of 12 packs in a week (or pop, if you’re from the Midwest). Even though I kept seeing articles about how bad soda was for the human body, I just didn’t think it applied much to me. And it wasn’t until I had foot surgery (on both sides of both feet – uff da) and literally could not walk that Mr. B. and I decided to see how long we could go without soda. And you know what? We’ve never looked back – and that was more than a year and a half ago. It was one of the best things we’ve done health-wise and it was actually not as painful as we thought it was going to be.

One of my colleagues suggested we try the SodaStream because sometimes a girl needs some carbonation, you know? Buying sparkling water can be expensive and besides the cost, almost wasteful, with all of the bottles that end up getting thrown, so the SodaStream was a perfect solution. There are several different SodaStream options but we chose the version with the glass bottles because it seemed more durable. The SodaStream is easy to use (trust me on this one), offers multiple flavors to choose from if you don’t care for plain sparkling water (I’m not a big fan of the flavors – the ones I’ve tried tasted artificial) and is a much healthier alternative than soda (although I’ll admit that I still do crave a Diet Coke or root beer every so often).

Interested in the SodaStream? Check out Macy’s and wait for a sale, which happens often.

Any fun weekend plans? I’m so excited for Macy’s Glamorama this evening! I’m going with my lovely mom and we’re really excited to see the Brit-themed show with music from Robin Thicke and Karmin. Leading wardrobe choice is below. Yes, I admit I’m totally pose-y, but I just couldn’t help it with all of those sequins:)

Have a fabulous weekend, everyone!

About

Glittery adornments are amusing (and dare I say it – almost necessary) and it seemed appropriate to name this blog after something a little whimsical. Confetti in her hair made me smile because it brought to mind a person who lives for the moment. And of course, probably accessorized with something sparkly.
